About this position As a Senior Software Developer II - Full Stack at BLEN, you will take on a highly strategic role in designing, architecting, and developing scalable, robust digital solutions. This role demands a combination of deep technical expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies and the ability to collaborate closely with tech leads and sometimes take on tech lead responsibilities. You will be expected to think strategically, mentor team members, and deliver high-impact solutions while embracing ownership and accountability. Technical Leadership and StrategyCollaborate closely with the tech lead, taking responsibility for the system's architecture and development strategyStep in as the acting Tech Lead when required, making key technical decisions that ensure alignment with overall product and business goalsDesign and implement scalable, efficient, and maintainable systems and architecturesWork on building prototypes and proof of concepts that later become major production featuresSoftware Development and Problem-SolvingLeverage extensive full-stack development experience to lead high-complexity, outcome-driven projectsProactively diagnose and solve architectural and technical issues, driving quality improvements in existing systemsWork hands-on with modern tech stacks, including advanced usage of cloud platforms, ensuring scalable system designsActively contribute to the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions and applicationsMentorship and Team DevelopmentMentor and support junior engineers, focusing on transferring skills in system design, cloud services, and AI technologiesProvide technical guidance across teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovationEngage in technical interviews, assessing candidates' skills and cultural fitCommunication and Stakeholder EngagementPresent design documents, architecture diagrams, and technical solutions to clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teamsCommunicate technical strategies and developments effectively across the team and external partnersProcess Improvement and InnovationDrive improvements in software development processes and practices, with a focus on high performance and scalabilityChampion best practices in system design, architecture, cloud services, and AI developmentStay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in AI and cloud computing, applying this knowledge to drive innovation in the organization

Basic qualifications

Essential Requirements10+ years of engineering experience, with a proven track record of designing and developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems and architecturesExtensive experience with full stack development using Python, React, Next.js, Node.js, Java or Ruby on RailsHands-on experience with Python and AI toolings, including familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and other modern AI frameworksStrong expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, ensuring systems are scalable and maintainable in a cloud-native environmentExperience working with both relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases like Firestore, MongoDB, ensuring effective database design, optimization, and scalabilityHands-on experience integrating external APIs and third-party services into applicationsStrong cloud services management and configuration skills with AWS, Azure, or GCP, leveraging these platforms for high availability, scalability, and securityProficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git), and experience managing large, complex codebasesRobust problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues related to distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and application performancePreferred Skills and ExperiencePrior experience leading engineering teams or acting as a Tech LeadExperience building AI applications and their underlying infrastructureFamiliarity with DevOps tools and best practicesAbility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
