Cybersecurity Software Developer

ResponsibilitiesYou will work directly with our Company CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) team to enhance the company’s security posture by developing new tools, conducting code reviews to ensure the security of new features, addressing emerging issues, and performing security assessments as needed. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology, providing the critical foundation on which other teams within the Engineering department can achieve their success.

To do so, they'll operate across both back-end (PHP/Node.js) and front-end (jQuery/React+TypeScript) parts of our application. Due to the nature of our tech stack, the volume and complexity of work is weighted more strongly towards back-end, rather than front-end.

QualificationsPassionate above all - degrees are unimportant, but you must be a perfectionist and an avid knowledge-seeker.Curious or knowledgeable about cybersecurity, willing to ensure the safety and resilience of the Company systems and understanding the stakesContinuously learning at a rapid pace to bridge any existing skill gap - building on good web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) basicsThinking thoroughly about any reviewed code, without being afraid of asking for clarifications if something isn't clearDeveloping features and improvements to the product in a secure, well-tested, and performant waySuggesting improvements on existing implementations and code-basesCollaborating with Product Management and other stakeholders within Engineering to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environmentConfidently shipping small features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members.Joining forces with team and department on larger projects, bringing their best contributionAssisting customers with issues pertaining Company compliance and privacy inquiriesStrong English written and oral communication skills
