Android Jetpack Compose Developer

OverviewGalsie is smart home system and assistant dedicated to improving smart home experiences. Our mission is to make homes more secure, efficient, reliable, comfortable, sustainable, and intelligent.

We are on the lookout for Android developers with exceptional expertise in Jetpack Compose.

ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the development and deployment of Galsie's responsive smart home application for Android devices.Adapt and implement the user interface from Figma designs, based on the MVVM pattern.Coordinate with iOS app developers to maintain consistency across platforms.Seamlessly integrate with Galsie's Cloud Services (our backend) to drive the app's content and actions.Learn and integrate the Build with Matter Android API to enhance system operation and smart device interoperability.Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and researching, especially when working with Matter.Implement services that manage smart home devices in various operational modes described by system requirements.

Qualifications4+ years of experience developing Android applications2+ years experience in Kotlin2+ years of experience in Jetpack ComposeExpertise in building well-architected, scalable, and reusable components.Expertise in applying Object Oriented Programming principles, and in design patterns.Experience in working with dispatch queues for multi-threaded implementations.Ability to navigate and contribute to large, evolving codebases.Proficiency with native Android features.Experience with git version control systems and github workflows.

SalaryThe starting salary ranges from $350 -> $500 per month (emphasis on month). This is a part time position (5 hours per weekday, and 3 hours on Saturday).

We are yet to penetrate the market, and do not have a revenue stream. Our approach is building a talented team with whom we can share our success and growth. We understand our wages may not be competitive with market rates, but we offer a stock ownership plan and stock options as a testament to our belief in the potential of Galsie and its team.
