Java Database Developer

Founded 32 years ago, Allied Consultants is an Austin-based firm and premier provider of technical and business staffing solutions for the State of Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Java Database Developer to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, the Texas Health and Human Service Commission (HHSC).

Location: Remote.Program will allow candidates who are within the state (Any location within the State of Texas).

ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Java Database Developer - Level III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining database-driven Java applications, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency. This role involves collaboration across teams, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-performance solutions.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:8 years hands-on strong experience in Java development, including extensive experience with J2EE, Servlet and related technologies.8 years of hands-on strong experience in building and consuming Web Services (SOAP/REST).8 years of hands-on strong development experience in implementing applications utilizing any J2EE Application Server, Java security authentication and authorization of service and user accounts8 years of hands-on proficient in using Servlets, Spring and Spring Batch for web application development.8 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD, GitLab, Maven & Jenkins.8 years of hands-on experience in Full Stack Development and working with front-end technologies such as JavaScript and JSF and Prime Faces 7.0.8 years of hands-on experience in design and development of XSD and schematron data validation rules8 years of hands-on experience in at least one application server configurations (WildFly, Tomcat or WebLogic)8 years expert level understanding of Mongo DB and Postgres databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, aggregate operations and performance tuning.8 years experience in designing & optimizing database queries and procedures in Postgres and Mongo DB8 years experience in ad hoc data analysis and reporting.

Preferred:8 years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills8 years ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment2 years familiarity with Azure App Services & Cloud Services.
