What You’ll Do:

As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will own the end-to-end development of our public-facing websites on WordPress, driving customer engagement and business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Growth, Design, and Engineering, to develop, maintain, and continually optimize our website, ensuring it aligns with our brand and delivers a top-notch user experience.Lead the development, and enhancement of our websites on WordPress, incorporating custom integrations and third-party servicesCollaborate with the Marketing team to implement SEO strategies, optimize site speed that drives customer engagement.Regularly test and improve code for functionality, performance, security and scalability.Develop and integrate APIs to enhance website functionality.Design and write efficient, reusable code with a focus on usability, simplicity, and scalability.Conduct website performance QA tests using tools like Google Lighthouse to maintain web standards (Accessibility, Performance, Security, SEO).Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web solutions.Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility compliance (WCAG AA) across all major devices and browsers.Research and implement new technologies and strategies to improve site performance and user experience.Translate UI/UX design mock-ups into functional, pixel-perfect websites.Manage website updates, troubleshoot issues, and communicate project progress effectively.Adhere to a website maintenance schedule to ensure long-term functionality and performance.Data Privacy Compliance:Implement and maintain data privacy measures to ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other relevant data protection laws.Develop and manage data protection policies and procedures for websites.Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with data privacy requirements.Security Measures:Implement robust security measures to protect website data from breaches and cyber attacks.Regularly update and patch web applications to minimize security vulnerabilities.

What We Look For:

8+ years of experience in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks.Advanced knowledge of front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) and back-end languages (PHP).Proficiency in Git for version control, including branching, pull requests, and managing merge conflicts.Experience with WordPress integrations (forms, chatbots, etc.) and third-party services.Proven ability to translate approved UI/UX design mockups into fully functional, pixel-perfect websites.Experience with HubSpot for creating emails, landing pages, and other marketing assets.Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG AA compliance) and experience using tools like AXE, NVDA, and VoiceOver.Familiarity with performance optimization, security best practices, and SEO techniques.Experience integrating RESTful services and APIs, including GraphQL or SOAP.Demonstrated experience in testing and optimizing responsive landing pages and emails.Knowledge of online marketing platforms (e.g., Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn).Experience with tools like Elementor, WooCommerce, or other popular WordPress plugins.Experience working with headless CMS architectures, with a decoupled front end.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.Enthusiasm for modern web technologies and a proactive approach to learning and development.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or AngularKnowledge of additional CMS platforms such as Prismic, Contentful, Sanity or Strapi.Familiarity with web hosting best practices, including reverse proxies, CDNs, and server optimization.Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
