Senior UI Developer

You will leverage deep technical knowledge to solve complex business problems and proactively assess your team’s health, code quality and nonfunctional pipelines.

Senior UI Developers are the main drivers and champions of those practices in delivery teams, exemplifying and demonstrating what “good” looks like from a Thoughtworks engineering perspective.

Job responsibilities

You will learn and adopt best practices like writing clean and reusable code using TDD, pair programming and design patternsYou will use and advocate for continuous delivery practices to deliver high-quality software as well as value to end customers as early as possibleYou will work in collaborative, value-driven teams to build innovative customer experiences for our clientsYou will collaborate with a variety of teammates to build features, design concepts and interactive prototypes and ensure best practices and UX specifications are embedded along the way.You will create scalable UI systems that are delightful, high functioning and accessible to all audiencesYou will efficiently use DevSecOps tools and practices to build and deploy software, advocating devops culture and shifting security left in developmentYou will learn, digest and subsequently apply the latest technology thinking from our Technology Radar to solve client problemsYou will oversee or take part in the entire cycle of software consulting and delivery from ideation to deployment and everything in betweenYou will act as a mentor for less-experienced peers through both your technical knowledge and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

Technical Skills

You are well-versed in JavaScript programming, design patterns and writing modular, reusable, object-oriented and functional JavaScript codeYou are familiar with JavaScript packaging tools and TypeScriptYou have experience with concepts such as design systems, atomic design, micro frontends, progressive web apps and backend for frontendYou know at least one of the three major contemporary web frameworks (React, Angular or Vue) and can seamlessly switch between them as neededYou have experience developing modular web components using the latest HTML, CSS and JavaScript standards and have a proficient understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility issues and ways to work around themYou have a strong understanding of HTTP, multi-tiered web architectures and the latest web standards including web accessibilityYou have created responsive, mobile-first experiences using complex CSS layouts and best practicesYou understand and apply user experience and web design principles into your applicationsYou are comfortable with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum and/or KanbanYou have a good awareness of TDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery approaches/tools
