Responsibilities

Work primarily in Python to support critical software systems for our custom software and hardware platforms.Enhance and debug Python applicationsDiagnose and solve issues a combination of Python, PostgreSQL, and AWSHelp maintain the related software and work across engineering teams to resolve mission critical issues and improve user experienceUse Python, PostgreSQL, and other systems and processes to enhance productivity, preserve stability, ensure consistent APIs, and enhance system speed.Use AWS to monitor and diagnose issues, and build alerts to notify stakeholders in real-time of issues occurring.Work in an Ubuntu/Linux desktop environmentWork in cross functional distributed team environment

Requirements

BS in Computer Science or related field with a Masters in Computer Science a plusRelevant experience may substitute for and/or augment relevant degrees8+ years of progressive software engineering experience with a proven track record of successful productivity6+ years of experience working with Python and related frameworks required7+ years of SQL experience with PostgreSQL experience5+ years of AWS Cloud or similar cloud experience requiredExposure to warehouse automation is a plusAbility to document requirements and specificationsStrong communications and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
