Job responsibilities:Design, develop and modify full-stack features for our various portals and applications.Integrate feature additions and modification into the Guidewire InsuranceSuite including the Guidewire portals CustomerEngage and ProducerEngage.Provide architectural and engineering support to team members, coworkers and vendors.Assist in defining software development plans, including scoping, scheduling and implementation.Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures.Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users.Design, run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purpose of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users.
Qualifications/Competencies:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, computer science, management information systems, or computer information systems or equivalent experience.Outstanding full-stack experience with Java, HTML, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, NodeJS, npm, AngularJS, React.Strong experience with Object-Oriented Programming Design, Java EE software development.Strong experience with IDEs such as IntelliJStrong experience with Integration and API design and development: Web Services, XML, SOAP, RESTStrong experience with authentication tools and technologies: OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, JSON Web Token (JWT), OktaStrong experience with Git and related practicesExperience with database design and SQL scripting with Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with web server technologies: Red Hat JBoss EAP, Apache Tomcat, Apache httpdExperience with Linux (RHEL), ssh and Bash scriptingFamiliarity with the tools and technologies of automation: CI/CD, IaC, Splunk, Jenkins, Ansible, YAML, scriptingFamiliarity with the tools and technologies of containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShiftFamiliarity with secure coding practices (SQL injection, Cross-Site Scripting XSS), data security (data in motion, data at rest), encryption, and privacy best practicesWorking knowledge of the tools and technologies of cloud: AWS, Azure
