Android Developer Remote Opportunity Long term Contract ResponsibilitiesSynthesize cross-platform Figma designs into JetPack Compose components Ensure functional parity with parallel iOS development Meet the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application Proactively identify test cases with Test Engineering before development Refactor and improve existing components to meet the standards of evolving proprietary full-stack framework Deliver work iteratively within 2-week sprints tracking a release train Monitor rollout of features through metrics and instrumentation (Firebase / Datadog) Write software that is adaptive to live events, scheduling, location and user profile Give and take feedback on implementations on Pull Requests with a curious and positive attitude Required Skills Fluent in Kotlin Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications A knack for benchmarking and optimization Proficient understanding of Git Thorough understanding of CLEAN architecture Familiarity with micro-apps Experience with Content Management Systems Desirable Skills Worked in shared code bases with 10 active code contributors iOS Development Background Ability to code in both Android and iOS Experience working on Apps with millions of daily active users
