Senior Java Developer

Our client, a well-known retail apparel company, is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their team for a remote 12-month contract.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain high-performance, low-latency Java applications for large-scale systems.Work with distributed computing frameworks such as HDFS, Spark, and build batch/analytics pipelines in cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platforms.Implement CI/CD workflows using tools like Gradle, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and manage deployments with Kubernetes.Leverage data analysis tools and frameworks, such as Databricks and Jupyter Notebooks, to enhance analytics capabilities (preferred, but not required).

Requirements:

Proficiency in Java and Spring framework, with solid experience in RESTful API design and development.Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries and familiarity with NoSQL technologies (especially HBase and Postgres).Experience with one or more of the following: Python, Spark/PySpark development using Java/Python/Scala.Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud architecture, and containerization technologies.Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.Availability to work PST hours and participate in on-call rotations on weekends.
