POSITION AVAILABLE: Application Developer

Company: IBM Corporation

Location: Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted)

Job Responsibilities:

Perform analysis, design, and develop J2EE business applications, web-based, and n-tier applications.

Collaborate closely with the Business Unit-IT and the solutioning/architecture team to conduct requirement analysis, feasibility studies, architecture design, and subsequent solution development.

Work in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using the Ace Framework.

Create and maintain architecture for RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.

Perform web services testing (SOAP/REST).

Engage in continuous integration using various tools.

Design and develop JUnit test cases during the development phase.

Integrate Spring with Hibernate as the data abstraction layer to interact with databases.

Track and report defects using defect tracking tools.

Technologies Utilized:

Java, Python, Git, Spring Framework, REST API, SOAP API, AWS.

Requirements:

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

(Note: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree.)

One (1) year of experience as an Application Developer or in a related role.

One (1) year of experience must include utilizing the following technologies: Java, Python, Git, Spring Framework, REST API, SOAP API, AWS.

Compensation:$179,982.00 per year. Full time.
