Senior Backend Developer (.NET / Python / Node.js + PostgreSQL or MSSQL)

About Us: We are building a next-generation donation marketplace that rivals platforms like LaunchGood and Ehsan. Our mission is to create a platform where users can manage their donation projects, make one-time or dynamic regular payments (daily, weekly, or monthly), and have full control over their profiles. Additionally, we have a robust admin system for managing all content seamlessly. We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our team and bring this vision to life.Role Overview: As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing the core backend architecture of our donation marketplace. You’ll work with a talented cross-functional team to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that are secure, efficient, and reliable. Your primary focus will be on backend development using either .NET, Python, or Node.js, along with PostgreSQL or MSSQL databases.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain the backend infrastructure for the marketplace, focusing on performance and security.Implement user profile management systems where users can manage their projects and donations.Develop payment processing systems that handle normal and dynamic regular payments (daily, weekly, monthly).Collaborate with the product team to ensure all backend features align with project goals.Build and maintain an admin panel for managing platform content.Optimize the platform for scalability, efficiency, and security.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.Implement and maintain robust APIs to support frontend and mobile application development.Ensure data integrity and security for sensitive information (payment data, user profiles).Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and help shape best practices within the development team.Required Skills and Experience:5+ years of experience in backend development with expertise in .NET Core, Python Django, or Node.js.Strong experience with databases, specifically PostgreSQL or MSSQL.Proven experience in building and maintaining secure, scalable, high-performance web applications.Experience working with payment gateways and implementing both one-time and recurring payments.Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Experience with authentication/authorization systems (OAuth, JWT, etc.).Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Knowledge of best practices in data security, encryption, and payment processing compliance (PCI DSS).Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.Preferred Skills:Experience working on marketplace platforms or donation-based systems.Familiarity with front-end technologies and how they interact with the backend.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum environments.Why Join Us?Work on a meaningful project that aims to facilitate global philanthropy.Opportunity to lead backend development for a dynamic and innovative marketplace.Flexible working environment with room for growth and leadership.Competitive compensation and benefits package.How to Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter to hr@softo.ai, explaining why you're interested in this role, along with examples of past projects related to marketplaces, payments, or similar platforms.
