The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the Cognos 12.1 reporting environment within our AWS Cloud implementation. This role requires deep expertise in Cognos administration, report development, and the ability to work within a cloud-based infrastructure.Qualifications:· Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Cognos Administrator/Developer, with a strong focus on version 12.1.· Cloud Expertise: Experience with AWS Cloud implementations, including deploying and managing Cognos in a cloud environment.· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cognos report development, data modeling, and administration. Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud architecture.· Performance Tuning: Demonstrated ability to optimize the performance of Cognos reports and infrastructure.· Security Management: Experience in implementing and managing security within Cognos, including user roles, permissions, and data access.Key Responsibilities:· Cognos Administration: Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cognos 12.1 in an AWS Cloud environment. Ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of the Cognos environment.· Report Development: Design, develop, and deploy complex reports and dashboards using Cognos 12.1. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Cognos solutions.· Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of Cognos reports and infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to report execution, data retrieval, and system performance.· Security Management: Implement and manage security protocols within the Cognos environment, ensuring data privacy and compliance with organizational standards.· Data Integration: Work closely with the database team to ensure seamless integration of data sources with Cognos. Develop data models and frameworks to support reporting requirements.· Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the Cognos environment, including configuration settings, development practices, and support procedures.· Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including database administrators, cloud engineers, and business analysts, to deliver comprehensive reporting solutions. Preferred Qualifications:Certifications: Cognos and AWS certifications are highly desirable.Database Knowledge: Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and data warehousing concepts.Project Experience: Previous experience working on large-scale Cognos implementations within cloud environments (AWS).
