The Xbox Developer Relations team is at the forefront of helping developers ship great games on Microsoft platforms. We partner closely with developers to bring them up to speed on new technologies and optimizations, so they can deliver the best version of their games.
Are you excited about the technology that drives innovation in the digital entertainment world? The Xbox team seeks a technically inclined Developer Partner Manager based in Europe to own and manage relationships with a range of game development studio partners. As Developer Partner Managers, our key focus is to support our external game development partners along their path of developing and releasing great content across our Microsoft platforms including Xbox, Windows PC, Game Pass and Cloud Gaming.
In this role, the Developer Partner Manager will act as the primary point of contact for game development studios as they build their titles and bring them to our platforms. You will advise partners on the latest technologies/services for Microsoft platforms and help solve complex technical problems to assist our developers in building amazing content across multiple devices and services. We are looking for people that love to work in ambiguity and solve issues. Ideal candidates have an interest in learning new things every day, and a great sense of empathy for developers. Working closely with other members of Xbox and other internal Microsoft teams, this role will be an important part of our global organization.
Our offices are UK based but candidates in other European locations are considered, with an option of office, remote or hybrid working. This role will require travel within Europe and occasional travel to the United States.
Responsibilities
General account & relationship management of technical teams within our partner game studios.Research and understanding technical aspects of Microsoft platforms (Xbox, Game Streaming, Azure, Windows development).Work on technical problems that require cross group collaboration.Provide technical insight to partner internal teams during business discussions.Help onboard and build relationships with developers new to the Xbox ecosystem.Be a representative for Xbox at game developer events and conferences
Qualifications
Passion for gaming and consumer entertainment.Professional working experience in the gaming industry.Thorough understanding of game development on Xbox, PlayStation, and/or PC Gaming.Verbal and written proficiency in English is required.Respect others and be able to collaborate on resolving issues with others.High-level communication skills and be able to establish trusted relationships with partners.Ability to ramp up quickly on new technology and end-to-end scenarios. Flexibility to be able to work with game studios of all sizes, structures, and experience levels.
