DSHS is seeking a contracted Senior Application Developer to support the a project aimed at modernizing administrative business functions related to finance, procurement, budget, human resources, and payroll. The duration of this contract is anticipated to be 12 months, and 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:Analysis, design, and development of changes to align financial systems with the Foundation Data Model (FDM), including modifications to legacy chart of account (COA) formats.Make changes to computer programs, databases, user interfaces, integrations, and reporting for FDM compliance.Work with teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned with business processes and system architecture.Perform necessary data migration/conversion, update SSIS packages, and ensure smooth transitions to the FDM.Engage in One Washington’s end-to-end test cycle, bug fixes, and support for One Washington go-live/stabilization.
Technical Skills:Minimum six years of experience with software development using .NET framework, C#, SQL, WPF, and WCF to modify and enhance existing financial applications.Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including SSRS and SSIS for data reporting and integration processes.Experience working with complex financial systems and knowledge of accounting principles, with specific exposure to Workday’s Foundation Data Model (FDM) or similar systems is highly desirable.Hands-on experience with data migration, integrations, and exchanges between disparate systems using SSIS or equivalent tools.Proficiency in UI technologies, specifically WPF, to modify user interfaces in line with new data models.Expertise in designing, modifying, and deploying financial reports using SSRS, ensuring alignment with new FDM structures.
Experience and Qualifications: Minimum six years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a senior or technical lead role.Minimum four years of experience developing with Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, WPF, WCF, WinForms, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, or other ETL processes.Proven track record of leading system remediation/development projects, preferably involving financial systems.Previous experience working on Workday or similar ERP system integrations would be advantageous.Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies, working in iterative development cycles, and delivering regular updates to stakeholders.Strong analytical skills to tackle complex technical challenges, identify system bottlenecks, and implement scalable solutions.
