Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote position for an Experienced WordPress Developer (5yrs plus). The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites and plugins to the highest standards, many of our clients’ sites do have some custom sections, you should be able to troubleshoot and fix any technical issues with the website. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with WordPress development, including PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Due to the type of clients we have please only apply if you feel confident in your ability as a developer, our clients require quick thinking and developer how can respond to a fast flow of demands, often work must be done quickly due to our clients high profile marketing.

You should have experience with GitHub, ideally some experience with Netlify or similiar.

Hours: 38 hours per weekCommitment: We are looking for someone that will be committed to the company for the long term.

Work Time: Your working times will be agreed after interview.Location: You will need to work remotely.Security: We will provide you with Norton’s antivirus, however you must install this correctly and provide a scan report once per week.Computer: You will need to have a very reliable computer, we prefer developers using Mac, but Windows is also fine.

QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience as a WordPress DeveloperProven track record of developing custom WordPress themes or plugins from scratch.Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptCode standard to be WCAG compliant (2.1 AA min)Experience with version control.Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap and FoundationExcellent problem-solving and debugging skillsExcellent English written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, we are not a large company but do have a team of 10 including developers, website admin, consultants, project managers, directors.Strong written and spoken skills are required (you may have to be on calls with US clients or understand instructions given)Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science.
