Position Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Java Developer to join our team in Argentina, to support one of our customers working on a mobile banking platform.

You will be working alongside our customer's banking engineering team developing their fully online, all digital, mission-driven, and FDIC insured banking platform. This is a backend position focusing on reliability, load, and scale, as well as designing and building scalable distributed solutions.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Design and build scalable distributed solutions that our customers can build their lives aroundEvolve our core banking platform systems to support the latest financial servicesLead large-scale projects from ideation to creation with a customer-first mindsetMentor engineers and help build a tech culture that makes magical productsInfluence the technical strategy with a drive to improve products, infrastructure, processes, or organizationsWork cross-functionally with various engineering, product, and operations teamCollaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and enhance the lending infrastructure for an inclusive banking experienceCreate scalable, distributed solutions that meet customer needs and support their financial livesWork cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to develop the next-generation lending platformManage projects from concept through to delivery, always with a focus on the customer experienceParticipate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledgeHandle large-scale projects from initial idea to final implementationContribute to the technical strategy with a focus on improving products, infrastructure, processes, and organizationsWrite well-structured, thoroughly tested, readable, and maintainable code

Must Have Skills

5-10 years of industry experience in software development leading large and strategic high-impact areas in business Strong technical background with our technology stack, including:Java and Spring BootAWS services (EKS, S3, SNS, SQS, KMS)PostgreSQL, KafkaFamiliarity with microservices and event-driven programmingExperience in developing public and internal APIsExpertise in maintaining consistency in distributed environments, working with transactional databases and caching systemsKnowledge of software security practicesExperience with unit and integration testingAbility to build scalable, distributed systems with a test-first approachPassion for simplifying complex problemsProficiency in databases, caching, and consistency mechanismsProfessional and proficient communication skills in English

Preferred Skills

Basic understanding of financial systems (e.g., banking, lending, payments) is a plus
