Lead power BI Developer

Job Purpose: We are seeking a seasoned Power BI Lead with over 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in data analysis, visualization, and business intelligence. This role requires extensive experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, and other relational databases. Additionally, proficiency in working with semantic layers and implementing incremental refresh strategies is essential.

Responsibilities:v Lead BI Projects:Ø Manage end-to-end Power BI projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.Ø Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.v Data Modelling and Analysis:Ø Design and develop data models and schemas in Power BI.Ø Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards.Ø Optimize data models for performance and scalability.v Dashboard and Report Development:Ø Create interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.Ø Implement best practices in data visualization and storytelling.Ø Customize and enhance Power BI visuals as per business needs.

v Integration with Snowflake and SQL Server:Ø Connect Power BI with Snowflake and SQL Server databases.Ø Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.Ø Develop and maintain robust data pipelines.v Semantic Layer and Incremental Refresh:Ø Design and manage semantic layers to provide a unified view of data.Ø Implement incremental refresh strategies to optimize data load and query performance.Ø Ensure seamless integration and data consistency across different systems.v Team Leadership and Collaboration:Ø Lead and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts.Ø Foster a collaborative environment to drive innovation and efficiency.Ø Provide technical guidance and support to team members.v Quality Assurance and Performance Tuning:Ø Conduct thorough testing to ensure data accuracy and reliability.Ø Optimize report performance through efficient data modeling and DAX queries.Ø Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and data sources. Nice to Have:Knowledge on Tableau Model and Development Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.· Over 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence and data visualization, with a focus on Power BI.· Strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL Server, and other relational databases.· Proven experience in designing and managing semantic layers.· Proficient in implementing incremental refresh in Power BI.· Excellent skills in data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.· Experience leading and mentoring BI teams.
